MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of Woodbridge PBA Local #38 is to protect our members’ rights, strive for the best possible working environment, negotiate on behalf our members, and honor our commitment to service while ensuring our members have the best available resources to perform their duties to safeguard the residents of Woodbridge Township.
History and Current Status:
Woodbridge PBA Local #38 was established in 1960 and represents Patrol Officers, Detectives, and Investigators employed by the Woodbridge Police Department. Our local has approximately 185 members. The Superior Officer’s Association Local #38a is a bargaining unit within the department that consists of Sergeants, Lieutenants, and Captains with approximately 50 members. Together, we belong to our parent organization, New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, which is 30,000+ members strong. The NJSPBA belongs to a larger organization, the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO).
Our local runs several philanthropic events throughout the year to benefit charitable causes. In the past few years we’ve donated to: St. Judes Children’s Hospital, Where Angel’s Play Foundation, USMC Toys for Tots, and many more. Please consider donating or attending one of our events to help us raise funds for these many great causes.
